But here and Haamstede-Ostersheldeverken - the small place on the bank of East Schelde, whence begins the main route. Two ten buses wait for tourists.

In a museum of tourists acquaint with history of creation "Delta-project" and with all characteristics of the constructed construction. Under the plan protective dams have been erected across ustev the rivers and narrow sea gulfs of provinces Zealand and Northern Brabant. First such dam has been constructed in the narrowest river channel for working off of technology of building and acquisition of demanded experience. Erection of seventh, last, longest and difficult dam - through a mouth of East Schelde has appeared the most difficult. Building of this construction, managed to the Dutch tax bearers in 3 billion guldens, proceeded seven years. It represents outstanding and technologically courageous step, unique in world practice. This last dam is especially difficult in the technical relation. Technical requirements were rather rigid, admissions, for example, could not exceed 0,01 percent.

In project realisation participated about seven thousand workers and employees. Specially this purpose needed manufacturing of unique technics and the equipment, floating cranes, courts. All most important operations were supervised the COMPUTER. For years of building the platform was visited by millions tourists in which number this erected object has surpassed even the biggest and most attractive park of the country В"De EftelingВ", located about small town Kaatvjajka.

The dam Construction has begun with building of two artificial islets which have divided the future line of a dam into three parts. On larger Islet-nelte-jans - have erected an office building where have taken places management of building, various sort auxiliary services, and later - the Museum "Delta-project". On the same island the factory producing designs, and docks to which their assemblage was spent settled down.
