    In group Ribeka there were almost 200 persons - sailors, soldiers and handicraftsmen, some women.     The matter is that in three years after arrival Van Ribek has suggested to lodge on cape of Kind Hope of the Dutch peasants. Â"One thousand families, - he wrote to the Netherlands, - will find to itself a lot of earth in the Table bay. They need to be enlisted for ten years, but from love to children parents remain and longer, they will improve the plots and eventually will cease to think of homecoming. Having weaned gradually from Holland, they begin to consider cape as the true native landÂ". So it also happens. On February, 21st, 1657 Ribek "granted" first nine poselentsam Â"the citizenship rightsÂ". It has allocated with it the best earths of peninsula along the river Lisbeek, having given to everyone a site in the size about 45 hectares. These white poselentsev began to name drills (peasants - on-gollandski). Subsequently this name has extended on all colonists of the South of Africa.
