    you are: Activity of Dutches

G.Gudzon, however, was the person rather capricious. In pass possibility through ices of the seas of Arctic ocean he did not trust since times of the service in the Moscow company in London. Have not shaken its belief arguments of board of the East Indian company, card Hondejsa.

Nevertheless G.Gudzon considered, that a new way to India to find it is possible. But to search for it followed not in the northeast, and moving from Holland it is strict on the West. At that time the big popularity was received by the statement of Italian seafarer Giovanni yes Verratstsano that he saw the big gulf in North American continent. Many cartographers began to mark on cards on a place of this gulf the passage connecting two oceans (speech, probably, went about a present New York gulf). This point of view was divided also by G.Gudzon.

On First of July Hudson and its companions have reached Newfoundland, and in two months have entered into a gulf and have thrown an anchor. After short rest on September, 3rd the vessel has entered into a channel of the river which name Hudson later and where still never there were Europeans. Hudson hoped, that it on a true way. On the river it has passed approximately to that place where it is now located by Albany. Having found out, that the river became already and more small, and water unsalted, Hudson has understood, that was mistaken, and ordered to turn back. The vessel has returned to Holland, to the owners, the truth, already without the captain, which during time

Parking in London has descended on coast and has not returned any more to the Netherlands. The way to India has not been found, but G.Gudzona's expedition has played a considerable role in settling by Europeans of North American continent: members of crew of the come back vessel have made good advertising to natural resources of the new earths.

Henry Gudzona's Further destiny, as is known, was sad. In 1610 already on an English vessel it goes again on searches of ways to India. Having appeared in a huge gulf (later it will be named by his name) and hoping that it all the same passage, Hudson has begun to investigate it carefully. There came severe winter. English seamen have started to show discontent. After wintering the command began to demand returning home. Having learnt, that in plans of Hudson-continuation of searches, the command has gone on open revolt. Hudson together with the ten years' son and several supporters have landed in the boat and have left on true death, and the vessel has headed for London.
